1. General Information
This privacy policy explains how bikecoa.ch collects, processes, and protects personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Processing of Special Categories of Personal Data (Health Data)
By registering and using this application, you consent to the processing of highly sensitive health data (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). This includes:
- Physical Metrics: Weight, height, date of birth.
- Performance Metrics: Functional Threshold Power (FTP) and Maximum Heart Rate (max_hr).
- Training History: Synced activities, heart rate records, power curves, and stress/suffer scores.
This data is processed solely to calculate your custom training calendar, generate workouts, and build your "Rider DNA" scouting card. You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account.
3. Location and GPS Tracking Data
Activities synced via Strava or SRAM/Hammerhead contain detailed GPS coordinates. This data is stored in our database to analyze rides. We do not share this location data with third parties.
4. Third-Country Data Transfers (Google Gemini API)
This application uses the Google Gemini API to analyze your training logs and generate workout recommendations. Please note the following regarding data privacy:
Warning on API Keys: Under the Google AI Studio standard Free-Tier terms of service, Google may review your prompts and generated plans using human reviewers to improve their models. If you configure your own Gemini API key in Settings, we recommend enabling paid billing (Pay-as-you-go) or using Vertex AI, which disables data sharing and human review of your prompts.
5. Data Portability & Deletion Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following data rights:
- Right of Access & Portability: You can download a complete JSON export of all your profile settings, metrics, and activity history in your Settings panel.
- Right to Erasure (Deletion): You can permanently wipe your account and all associated fitness logs, calendar files, and AI chat logs from our SQLite database in your Settings panel.
6. Contact / Data Controller
